Oven baked carrots

I make this recipe for holiday's and family events. It has always been a big hit with the family and friends and is a twist on a four star recipe I found off of google.

Feeds as a side for about 4 to 5 people. Cook time is 30 mins to 60 mins


Ingredients:

  • 5-8 Ibs carrots (I used regularly carrots)

  • 2 Tbsps olive oil

  • 3 Tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp of lemon juice

  • 2 tsp parsley

  • 1/2 tsp basil

  • 1 tsp salt or to taste

  • 1 tsp pepper or to taste

  • pinch of peperika (optional)


Directions

  1. Chop carrots until they are long and skinny or chop regular at a slight angle. try not tomake them to thick.

  2. Mix together the oil and honey then add the spices. Stir until conbined.

  3. Put carrots into a medium mixing bowl and pour the spices onto.

  4. Toss the carrots until they are fully coated.

  5. Lay the carrots onto a baking pan and spread them out. Make sure to pour the rest of the sauce into the pan with the carrots.

  6. Bake in the oven at 350 degress celsius for 30 - 60 minutes or until the carrots are soft.


This is a very simple and delicious dish for holidays or just everyday dinners.
